Norwin K. Voegeli, is the founder and owner of Global Ingress since its creation in 2012 (United Rail at this time). As Swiss and US citizen, he brings Rail Technolgy experience in international and North American markets since the year 2000.
Prior to founding Global Ingress / United Rail, Norwin spent 12 years with the German engineering company Siemens AG. From 2000 to 2003, he served as an International Sales and Marketing Director for their Swiss subsidiary. Moving to the company headquarters in Germany in 2003, Norwin successfully did business in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, South Africa, Australia, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and many more countries. While there, he landed two large projects in Syria and one in Saudi Arabia, the combined value being EUR 250M.
In 2005, Siemens relocated Norwin and his family to New York to head their North American Mass Transit business. In 2008, Norwin moved to Jacksonville, Florida to build up a new business unit for Siemens, providing Signal Engineering Services and Mass Transit Project execution from within the US for the first time in the company’s history. Norwin holds a US patent related to in-tie switch machines (US8297559 B1).
Norwin holds a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Bern University of Applied Science and a B. Bus. Admin. degree from the University of St. Gallen. He served his country as an officer in the Swiss Army.
Norwin, his wife Andrea and their children Fabienne and Noel reside in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Norwin enjoys the beach, kite-surfing, sailing, road and mountain-biking, photograpy, going to the gym, playing guitar, traveling and much more.
