Please join us in welcoming Bob Rossman in his role as Product Manager Sentinel Solutions and Quality Manager to the United Rail team. Bob joined the United Rail team by June 2016 and has over 26 years of experience of engineering and project management in the railroad industry. In 1990, he first started with Harmon Electronics as a draftsman and worked his way into engineering, designing highway grade crossing and wayside signal circuits. In 1997 Bob left Harmon to work for Safetran Systems as a design engineer. While his tenure at Safetran, Bob gained experience in project management, working at the CSX headquarters as a Signal Assistant to the in-house Principal Engineer. Bob has worked with all Class 1 railroads and a number of short line railroads, providing engineering solutions. Bob left Safetran in 2012 to work for Siemens as a Project Manager and in 2015, moved to Atlanta, GA contracted to Norfolk Southern, managing Positive Train Control (PTC) projects. Bob is currently working towards his MBA and Project Management Professional certification. He plans on learning the German language in the near future.
Bob is a native to North Florida and enjoys all water sports including surfing, skiing, kayaking and fishing. He enjoys spending time with his family and in his spare time, riding his motorcycle along the coast.
